The story of Davosa began in 1861, when Abel Frédéric Hasler started making silver watch cases by hand. In 1946 the family founded Hasler Frères to produce its own movements and watches, and since 1987 the Swiss brand has carried the DAVOSA name. Davosa calls its Classic series a firm institution in the collection: classic Swiss watches styled after past decades, with softly curved cases, hand-applied numerals and indices, and antique-style hands.
Inside are modern, finely finished Swiss movements. The Classic Automatic comes in men's and ladies' versions. The men's Classic Quartz has a 39 mm case in polished stainless steel, two-tone or PVD gold plating, while the ladies' version measures 30 mm; both are offered on a leather strap or metal bracelet, with sapphire crystal and water resistance up to 10 ATM. In 2009 the limited-edition Classic Skeleton made the Watch of the Year Top 10. The collection suits anyone who values a timeless dress watch of moderate size.
