Swiss brand Davosa traces its roots to 1861, when the Hasler family began making watch parts by hand. The DAVOSA name was created in 1987 for a small collection of mechanical chronographs with Valjoux 7750 and 7751 movements. The Newton series is dedicated to Isaac Newton (1643–1727), whose findings laid the foundation for accurate timekeeping, which in turn advanced navigation and aviation.
At its heart are Swiss pilot watches in classic aviator style. The Newton Pilot Automatic, launched for the 120th anniversary of the Wright Brothers' first flight attempt, runs on the DAV 3021ND movement and shows hours, minutes and seconds without a date on a sunburst dial. Collectors can choose chronographs limited to 300 pieces, such as the Newton Pilot Moonphase Chronograph with moon phase and 24-hour display, or the Rally Chronograph, a tribute to early motor-racing heroes. The Newton Speedometer recalls the sports cars of the 1950s and 60s, and the Newton Lady Automatic blends elegance with sportiness – a collection for lovers of flying, motor sport and automatic chronographs.
