Behind DAVOSA stands the Hasler family, which has been making watch parts in Switzerland since 1861 and has used the DAVOSA name since 1987 – originally for a small collection of mechanical chronographs. The Davosa Newton series is dedicated to Isaac Newton, whose findings laid the foundation for accurate timekeeping and, in turn, for progress in navigation and aviation.

At its core is the Newton Pilot line, launched for the 120th anniversary of the Wright Brothers' first flight attempt and designed around the needs of aviators. The Newton Pilot Automatic keeps things pure, with a sunburst dial and no date, while limited editions of 300 pieces, such as the Pilot Chronograph LE, the Rally Chronograph LE and the Moonphase Chronograph, add a stopwatch and more. The Newton Speedometer Automatic pays tribute to the car era of the 1950s and 60s, and the Newton Lady Automatic combines elegance with sportiness.
