Cookies & consent · GDPR + ePrivacy · Updated 4 September 2026

Until you press Accept, this shop sets only the cookies it cannot work without – and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time, in two clicks.

watchexclusive.eu is run by I&M Montres s. r. o. from Slovakia, inside the European Union, so the EU rules on cookies apply to every visitor – wherever in the world you are. This page lists every single cookie we set, who sets it, why, and how long it stays. Nothing here is hidden behind a „legitimate interest“ switch.

The four things worth knowing before you read the detail

If you read nothing else on this page, read these four points. They are the ones that actually affect you.

✕

Nothing loads before you agree

Analytics and advertising tags start in denied mode (Google Consent Mode v2). They only fire after you click Accept in the banner.

✓

Refusing costs you nothing

The whole shop works with everything refused: browsing, cart, account, checkout, payment and delivery tracking.

4

Four honest categories

Necessary, Preferences, Statistics and Marketing. Only the first is set without asking, because the shop cannot run without it.

12

Consent expires

Your choice is remembered for 12 months. After that the banner comes back, so a decision made once never becomes permanent by accident.

1. What a cookie is – and what else this page covers

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep. It usually holds nothing more than a random identifier.

Cookies let a site recognise the same browser on the next page or the next visit. That is how your basket survives when you move from a product page to checkout, and how a shop remembers that you prefer English and euros.

This page uses the word „cookie“ in the wider legal sense, the way the EU ePrivacy rules do. It therefore also covers HTML local storage (data kept in the browser without an expiry date) and pixel trackers (a tiny invisible image that reports a page view). Both are listed in the tables below and marked in the last column, so nothing is hidden by calling it a different name.

Cookies themselves rarely identify you by name. But a cookie identifier can be linked to data we hold about you, so we treat it as personal data. What we do with that data, how long we keep it and how to have it deleted is described in our Privacy Policy.

2. The four categories we use

Cookiebot sorts every cookie into one of four categories. In the banner you can accept or refuse each one separately – refusing is exactly one click, the same as accepting.

Category What it is for Set before consent? If you refuse it
Necessary Session, basket, language and currency, secure payment, protection against bots and fraud. Yes – no consent needed by law You cannot refuse these. Without them the shop cannot log you in or take a payment.
Preferences Remembers a setting that changes how the site looks or behaves, such as the payment window layout. No The site still works, it just will not remember that particular setting.
Statistics Anonymous measurement: how many people visit, which pages they open, where a page confuses them. No We lose the statistics. Nothing changes for you.
Marketing Measuring our advertising on Google and Microsoft and showing you relevant ads elsewhere. No You will still see ads on other sites, they will simply be less relevant to you.
Necessary does not mean unlimited. The necessary category is limited to what the shop genuinely cannot run without: your session, your basket, your consent record, payment security and bot protection. We do not classify analytics or advertising as necessary, and we do not use „legitimate interest“ as a way around asking you.

3. Every cookie we set, in full

The list below is generated from a real scan of watchexclusive.eu. It is the same data you will find on the always-current Cookie declaration & settings page, written out here so you can read it without loading anything.

This list is checked, not copied. Cookiebot rescans watchexclusive.eu automatically and the live result is published on our Cookie declaration & settings page. If a cookie appears there that is missing here, the live declaration is the one that counts – and we update this page. Retention times are the maximum lifetime the cookie is created with; deleting your cookies in the browser removes them immediately.

4. The services behind those cookies

Every cookie above belongs to one of these eleven services. This list is identical to the list of recipients in section 4 of our Privacy Policy – the two pages are kept in step deliberately.

Service Company and country What it does for us Category

No social media pixels. We do not run a Meta/Facebook pixel, a TikTok pixel, a Pinterest tag, Hotjar or any newsletter tracking pixel on this site. If that ever changes, this page and the Privacy Policy are updated before the tag goes live.

5. How to change or withdraw your consent

Withdrawing consent must be as easy as giving it. Here it takes two clicks and no e-mail to anyone.

  1. Open the cookie settings page
Go to Cookie declaration & settings. It shows the live Cookiebot declaration together with the four category switches and your current choice.
  2. Move the switches and save
Turn Preferences, Statistics or Marketing on or off and confirm. The change takes effect immediately, on this browser.
  3. Or wait – consent expires by itself
Your choice is stored for 12 months in a cookie called CookieConsent. After that the banner returns and you decide again from scratch.

Deleting cookies in your browser also resets consent. If you clear the site data, the CookieConsent cookie goes with it and the banner will appear on your next visit.

Blocking cookies in the browser. Every browser can block or delete cookies for a single site: Chrome and Edge under Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies, Safari under Settings → Privacy, Firefox under Settings → Privacy & Security. Blocking all cookies will stop the basket and checkout from working – that is a limitation of the browser setting, not of our shop.

Opting out at the source. You can also switch off Google advertising cookies at adssettings.google.com, Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and Microsoft advertising at Microsoft ad settings. These opt-outs work across all websites, not just ours.

6. What happens if you refuse everything

Short answer: you shop exactly as before, and we lose our statistics. Nothing is degraded, delayed or paywalled.

You can browse every product, use search and filters, create an account, place an order, pay by card, PayPal or bank transfer, track your delivery and file a return with all optional cookies refused. We do not use cookie walls, we do not slow the site down and we do not repeat the banner on every page to wear you down.

What we lose is the ability to see which pages are worth improving and whether an advertisement led to a sale. That is a real cost to us, and it is exactly why we ask – but it is your decision, and a „no“ is respected for the full 12 months, the same as a „yes“.

8. Changes to this page

We update this page whenever a tool is added to or removed from the website, and at least once a year. The date of the current version is shown at the top of the page; the live cookie scan on the Cookie declaration & settings page is refreshed automatically every month.

This page sits alongside our Privacy Policy, our Terms & Conditions and our Refunds & Returns, which together describe your relationship with us.

In force from 4 September 2026. This version replaces the previous cookie notice in full. If you want the earlier wording for your records, ask us at [email protected] and we will send it.

Cookies – frequently asked questions

The questions customers actually ask us about cookies.

Do I have to accept cookies to buy something?

No. Every part of the shop – basket, account, checkout, card and PayPal payment, delivery tracking, returns – works with Statistics and Marketing refused. Only the necessary cookies are needed, and those are set without asking because the law allows it and the shop cannot run without them.

How do I withdraw consent I already gave?

Open Cookie declaration & settings, move the switches and confirm. It takes effect straight away on that browser. Clearing your browser’s site data for watchexclusive.eu has the same effect.

Do you sell my data to advertisers?

No. We never sell or rent personal data. Google and Microsoft receive cookie identifiers so we can measure our own advertising; they act as our processors and are contractually barred from selling that data on.

Why does the banner come back after a while?

Because consent should not be permanent. We store your choice for 12 months, then ask again. If you cleared your cookies or you are on a different browser or device, the banner also returns – consent is stored per browser, not per person.

Are you recording my screen?

Microsoft Clarity and Contentsquare build anonymised heatmaps and session replays of how pages are used – and only if you accept the Statistics category. Text you type into form fields, your password and your payment details are masked and never reach them.

Where is the always-current list?

On the Cookie declaration & settings page. It is generated by Cookiebot’s monthly scan of this site, so it is the authoritative version. The tables above repeat it in plain language and are updated with it.

Your cookies, your call

Change your mind as often as you like – the settings page is always one click away, and refusing never costs you anything in the shop.

Questions about cookies or your data? Write to [email protected] – a person answers, usually the same working day.
