These terms govern every order placed on watchexclusive.eu – in short: 30 days to return your watch, 0 % EU VAT outside the EU and the manufacturer’s guarantee with every timepiece.
watchexclusive.eu is operated by I&M Montres s. r. o., a company registered in Slovakia (EU) and selling watches since 2007. By placing an order you accept the terms below. They are written to be read – the key commercial points come first, the full legal detail follows.
The four things most customers want to know
Everything below is explained in full further down the page – these are the commitments that matter before you order.
30 days to change your mind
Return an unworn watch in its original packaging within 30 days of delivery and we refund it. That is more than the 14 days EU law requires, and it applies to customers everywhere.
0 % EU VAT outside the EU
Delivery addresses outside the European Union are billed without EU VAT – the deduction is made automatically at checkout. Import duty and local taxes are then payable in your country.
New, original, fully documented
Every watch is brand new, sourced from official distributors and delivered with its brand box, papers and the manufacturer’s guarantee card – never grey-market stock.
Payment you can verify
Card payments run through Stripe and PayPal – we never see or store your card number. Bank transfer is available for every order, and you always receive a proper invoice.
1. Who you are buying from
Throughout these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the company below; “you” means the person or business placing the order. The same details appear on every invoice we issue.

The online store runs on the PrestaShop platform. Our showroom at Karpatská 18 in Bratislava is open by appointment, and online orders can be collected there free of charge.
2. How an order becomes a contract
Four steps, in plain language – and the point at which the contract between us is actually concluded.
- You place the order
The product page, the cart and the final checkout screen show the price, the shipping cost and any taxes before you confirm. Clicking the order button with the obligation to pay is your binding offer to buy. - We acknowledge it
You immediately receive an automatic e-mail confirming that the order reached us. This acknowledgement is not yet our acceptance – it lets you check the details and tell us about any mistake. - We accept and dispatch
The contract is concluded when we send you the dispatch confirmation with the tracking number, or when we hand the watch over in the showroom. The invoice is attached to that e-mail and included in the parcel. - The courier delivers
Delivery times and carriers are listed on our Shipping & Delivery page. Ownership passes to you once the price is paid in full; the risk of loss or damage passes when you or your chosen carrier takes possession of the parcel.
3. Prices, VAT and import charges
Our prices are set in euro. Everything else – the currency you see, the VAT treatment, the charges on arrival – follows from where the watch is delivered.
Currency. Prices displayed in USD or another currency are converted from EUR for guidance only. The amount actually charged is calculated at checkout; your bank or PayPal may apply its own exchange rate and fees.
EU VAT. For delivery addresses inside the European Union, prices include Slovak VAT. For delivery addresses outside the EU – the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Norway, Japan and others – the export is VAT-exempt and the VAT is deducted automatically at checkout. See Tax Free Shopping for the detail.
Import duty and local taxes. A parcel arriving from the EU may be subject to customs duty, sales tax, GST or clearance fees – for example US customs duty, Canadian GST/HST, Australian GST of 10 %, UK import VAT or Japanese consumption tax. These are set by your customs authority, collected by the courier on delivery and paid by the recipient. They are not included in our prices and we cannot estimate them for you. Official EU export rules are published by the European Commission – Taxation and Customs Union.
Shipping cost. Shipping is free on orders over $1,160* with UPS and DHL Express to the USA, Canada and Australia; below that the exact cost is shown at checkout before you pay.
Price changes and errors. We may change prices at any time, but never after your order has been accepted. If a watch is listed at an obviously incorrect price – a decimal point in the wrong place, for instance – we will contact you before dispatch and you may confirm the corrected price or cancel for a full refund.
* Approximate amount in USD, converted from EUR at the ECB reference rate. Our prices are set in EUR – the exact amount in your currency depends on the current exchange rate and is shown at checkout.
4. How you can pay
Card and PayPal payments are processed by certified providers – your card details never reach our servers.
| Payment method | Available for | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| Card via Stripe | All countries | Visa, Mastercard and other major cards, charged at the time of the order with 3-D Secure authentication. |
| PayPal | All countries | Pay from your PayPal balance or with a card through PayPal, under PayPal’s own buyer terms. |
| Bank transfer | All countries | We e-mail a proforma invoice with our IBAN. The watch is reserved for 7 days and dispatched once the payment is credited. |
| Cash on delivery | Slovakia and selected EU countries | You pay the courier on delivery. Shown at checkout only where the carrier offers it. |
| In the showroom | Collection in Bratislava | Card or cash when you collect the order – free of charge, by appointment. |
Payment must be made in full before dispatch, except for cash on delivery and collection in the showroom. If a bank transfer is not credited within 7 days and you have not contacted us, we may cancel the order and release the watch.
5. Delivery, availability and what to check on arrival
Full carriers, prices and transit times are on the Shipping & Delivery page. These are the contractual points.
Dispatch and delivery times. Orders in stock are dispatched from Bratislava within 1–2 working days. Delivery estimates – DHL Express 1–3 working days, UPS 3–7, postal services 6–20 – are the carriers’ own figures counted from dispatch and exclude customs processing. They are estimates, not guaranteed dates. If a delivery is delayed materially, tell us and we will chase the carrier; if it becomes clear the parcel is lost, we will resend or refund.
Availability. Stock levels shown on the site are updated automatically but a watch can occasionally sell in the showroom at the same moment as online. If that happens we contact you within one working day with a delivery date or a full refund.
Damaged parcels. Please check the outer box in front of the courier. If it is visibly damaged, note it on the delivery record or refuse the parcel, and e-mail us the same day at [email protected] with photographs. We then settle the claim with the carrier – you do not have to deal with them yourself.
Undelivered parcels. If a parcel is returned to us because it was not collected or the address was incomplete, we refund the price of the goods and may deduct the actual outbound shipping cost we incurred.
6. Returns, cancellation and refunds – 30 days
You may return a watch within 30 days of delivery, for any reason, without giving a justification. EU consumers additionally hold the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal – our 30-day policy is longer and applies instead of it, never in place of your legal rights.
How to return. E-mail [email protected] with your order number and send the watch to I&M Montres s. r. o., Karpatská 18, 811 05 Bratislava, Slovakia. Any clear written statement is enough – a form is not required. Full instructions are on the Refunds & Returns page.
Condition. The watch must be unworn and in the condition in which you received it, with the original box, protective films, guarantee card and all documents. We may reduce the refund to reflect a diminished value if the watch has been used beyond what is needed to establish its nature and characteristics – trying it on is fine, wearing it for a week is not.
Return shipping. You pay the cost of returning the watch and we recommend a tracked, insured service – until the parcel reaches us it travels at your risk. Please declare a return shipment correctly on the customs form if you are sending it from outside the EU; parcels with import charges payable by us cannot be accepted.
Refunds. Once the watch arrives and has been checked, we refund to the original payment method – normally within a few working days and in any case within 14 days. Where an order qualified for free shipping, no shipping cost is refundable; where you paid for shipping, we refund the cost of the least expensive standard delivery we offered. Import duty you paid on arrival is refunded by your customs authority, not by us – keep the courier’s paperwork.
Exceptions. Engraved, personalised or specially ordered watches, and bracelets shortened at your request, cannot be returned. Sale items are covered by our Refunds & Returns policy, which may limit refunds to an exchange or credit. Nothing here affects your rights if the watch turns out to be faulty – see the next section.
7. Guarantee, faults and complaints
Two separate protections apply to every watch – the manufacturer’s guarantee, and your rights against us as the seller.
Manufacturer’s guarantee
Pros: Every watch arrives with the brand’s guarantee card, usually valid two years and honoured by authorised service centres worldwide, because we buy only from official distributors.
Cons: The length and scope are set by the brand, not by us, and typically exclude the battery, the strap, water damage and normal wear.
Your rights against us
Pros: Under Slovak and EU law we are liable for two years if the watch does not match its description or is not of the quality you can reasonably expect. You can ask for repair, replacement, a discount or a refund.
Cons: Outside the EU your local consumer law applies instead, and it may give you a shorter period – the manufacturer’s guarantee then does most of the work.
How to make a claim. Write to [email protected] with your order number, a description of the fault and, if possible, a photograph or short video. We confirm receipt of the claim, tell you where to send the watch, and settle the claim – repair, replacement, discount or refund – no later than 30 days from the day you raised it, as Slovak law requires. You arrange and pay for sending the watch to us; if the claim turns out to be justified, we reimburse the shipping cost you actually paid, on presentation of the receipt.
What is not a fault. Damage caused by an accident, by opening the case outside an authorised service centre, by water beyond the rated resistance, or by ordinary wear to the strap, glass and finish. A mechanical watch running a few seconds a day out is within the brand’s tolerance and is not a defect – we are happy to have it regulated all the same.
8. Using this website
The short version: buy watches, browse freely, do not attack the site or copy our content.
Your account. You may order as a guest or create an account. Keep your password confidential, give us accurate contact and billing details, and update them if they change – we rely on them to deliver the order and to reach you. You must have the legal capacity to enter into a contract in your country of residence.
Acceptable use. You agree not to use the site unlawfully; not to upload viruses or malicious code; not to scrape, crawl or copy the catalogue for a competing service; not to attempt to bypass its security; not to collect other people’s personal data; and not to post content that is defamatory, obscene, discriminatory or infringes anyone’s rights. We may suspend access where these rules are broken.
Our content. The layout, texts, photographs and code of watchexclusive.eu belong to us or to our suppliers and are protected by copyright. You may print or save pages for your own use; republishing them commercially needs our written consent. Brand names, logos and watch images remain the property of the respective manufacturers and are used to describe the goods we sell.
Your submissions. If you send us a review, photograph, idea or other material, you allow us to publish and use it in connection with our store, without payment and with attribution where appropriate. You remain responsible for what you send and confirm it is yours to share. We may remove content that breaks the rules above, but we do not routinely monitor submissions.
Third-party links and tools. Pages here may link to brand sites, carriers or payment providers, and the store uses third-party tools such as Stripe, PayPal and carrier tracking. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content or terms – please read them before you use them.
9. Product information and accuracy
We describe every watch as precisely as we can, using the manufacturer’s specifications. Even so, colours on your screen may differ slightly from the real dial and bracelet, and brands occasionally change a detail of a model without notice. Photographs are illustrative; the model, reference and specification in the description prevail.
Content on this site is provided for general information. Typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions may occur in descriptions, prices, promotions, shipping charges or availability, and we reserve the right to correct them and to update or cancel affected orders as described in section 3 – always with a full refund if you no longer wish to proceed. Nothing on this page is legal, financial or investment advice about watches as an asset.
10. Our liability
We are responsible for delivering the watch you ordered, in the agreed condition, and for foreseeable loss caused if we fail to do so. We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses such as lost profit or lost data, or for delays and damage caused by events outside our reasonable control – a carrier strike, customs delay, extreme weather or a failure of the payment network.
The website itself is provided “as is”. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation and may suspend it for maintenance.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for defective products under product-liability law, or for any other liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you. Where a limitation is not permitted in your jurisdiction, our liability is limited to the maximum extent that law allows.
11. Your personal data
We process your data as a controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, only to handle your order, run your account, meet our accounting and tax duties and – if you ask for it – send you our newsletter. We share it with the carrier, the payment provider and our accountants, and nowhere else. The detail, including your rights of access, correction and erasure, is in our Privacy Policy; the tracking technologies we use are listed under Cookies.
12. Governing law and how disputes are resolved
Applicable law. These terms and every contract concluded under them are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of the country where you habitually reside.
Talk to us first. Almost every problem is solved by e-mail within a day or two. Write to [email protected] or call +421 911 591 937 before starting any formal procedure.
Alternative dispute resolution. If we cannot agree, a consumer may turn to the Slovak Trade Inspection (SOI), Inspectorate for the Bratislava Region, Bajkalská 21/A, P. O. Box 5, 820 07 Bratislava, as the competent alternative dispute resolution body. Consumers in another EU country can also find a national ADR body through the Your Europe portal. The European Commission’s ODR platform ceased operating in July 2025, so complaints go directly to the national body.
Courts. Where a dispute goes to court, the courts of the Slovak Republic have jurisdiction – again without prejudice to a consumer’s right to sue, and to be sued, in their country of residence under applicable EU rules.
13. Changes, severability and the version that applies to you
We may update these terms – for instance when we add a carrier or a payment method. The version that governs your purchase is the one published here at the moment you place the order, and we keep a copy with your order record. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the new version for future orders.
If any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a right on one occasion is not a waiver of it. Section headings are for convenience only. These terms, together with the Refunds & Returns, Shipping & Delivery, Privacy Policy and Cookies pages, form the whole agreement between us.
In force from 4 September 2026. This English version is the reference text; translations are provided for convenience.
Terms & conditions – frequently asked questions
The questions customers ask before they agree to anything.
When is my order legally binding?
The contract is concluded when we send you the dispatch confirmation with the tracking number, not when the automatic order acknowledgement arrives. Until then you can change or cancel the order by e-mail at no cost.
How long do I have to return a watch?
30 days from delivery, for any reason, provided the watch is unworn and complete with its box and papers. EU consumers have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal; our 30-day policy is longer and applies on top of it.
Do I pay EU VAT?
Not if your delivery address is outside the European Union – the VAT is deducted automatically at checkout and you pay the tax-free price. Import duty and local taxes in your own country are payable to the courier on arrival.
Who pays for return shipping?
You do – in both cases the watch is sent to us at your expense, so use a tracked, insured service. The difference is what happens next: for a change of mind the cost stays with you, while for a justified complaint about a fault, or if we sent the wrong item, we reimburse the shipping you paid once we receive the receipt.
What guarantee comes with the watch?
The manufacturer’s international guarantee card, usually valid two years and honoured by authorised service centres, because every watch comes from an official distributor. EU customers also have a two-year statutory right against us as the seller.
Which law applies if something goes wrong?
Slovak law, with the courts of Slovakia having jurisdiction – but as a consumer you keep the mandatory protections of your own country, and EU consumers can also use the Slovak Trade Inspection as an out-of-court dispute body.
Still have a question about the terms?
We would rather explain something in advance than argue about it afterwards. Write to us and you will get a straight answer from a person, usually the same working day.
