N1 Rocket

The N1 Rocket was a massive undertaking in Soviet aerospace engineering, designed for the purpose of launching astronauts to the Moon, Mars, and Venus, as well as to place large space stations in orbit. It was the Soviet equivalent of the American Saturn-V. The N1 consisted of 5 stages, the first of which was powered by a cluster of 30 high-performance rocket engines using kerosene and liquid oxygen as fuel.
